Installed this into a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, into the rear 8" subwoofer enclosure. The factory speaker blew so I found this Kicker to replace it. Sound is fantastic, getting very good low-frequency response that I never had with the factory speaker. My system is not a competition system by any means but this speaker, connected to the factory amp, adds VERY nice bass. A little large for the Tahoe's speaker box (you have to make your own spacer ring and use your own mounting screws) but for any other application this should fit just fine. Depth-wise it fits perfectly, it's great for small spaces. VERY happy with my purchase, I would recommend this speaker for anyone else needing a shallow-depth sub.

Great price, shallow depth.
I replaced the factory subwoofer in my 2002 Tahoe with this one.
It fit almost perfectly (I used part of the old speaker to mount it into the factory sub box).
Decent bass for the price. I wasn't expecting my doors to rattle, just an improvement from the factory sub. I got what I expected. I'm using the factory amp and I'm getting decent sound from this unit. About as much as you can expect from a single 8" subwoofer.

This speaker is unreal, when I first hooked it up to my alpine mrp m500 I was blown away by the quality and amount of the bass, it was a huge suprise, I was just looking to get the bass out of my door speakers (Polk audio db5s) and this little woofer is unbelievable! More bass than my brothers 10" mtx thunder 9000, and less than half the space. Comes with specs for smallest available box, and its dead on for tight, low, and high bass notes, still shocked by the sound that came out of this 8" 2ohm sub.
